Wheels & Brakes Quality Manager

Job description
Responsibilities of Position:
???Overall management and technical leadership of the W&B quality processes and procedures
???Achieve and maintain NADCAP certification of all special processes
???Lead, support and training of W&B quality personnel to assure thorough understanding of current and future customer requirements, and tools necessary to control and improve the Wheels and Brakes production process
???Implementation of statistical controls for processing and material parameter
???Establish a comprehensive cross-training program for quality department personnel to assure team flexibility
???Develop, track and communicate relevant performance metrics for benchmarking material, manufacturing and quality processes both historically and with W&B - Molsheim
???Develop and maintain effective collaborative working relationships with both internal and external customers
???Establish a root cause and corrective action process for all defects whether internal or external
???Process change management (DVI) in conjunction with Engineering Manager
???Ensure continuity of the quality controls from receiving to shipping
???Manage local Quasar database
???Coordination with corporate on business team committees
???Develop and maintain continuous improvement actions based on quality metrics and tools
???Perform other related duties as required

Attributes/Skills Required:
???Comprehensive knowledge of quality processes and procedures
???Develop the business processes, and personnel to provide for a self sufficient quality team; able to effectively communicate with customers, interpret customer needs and implement and communicate results to the satisfaction of both internal and external customers and supplier
???Support and communicate a culture of continuous improvements
???Support and maintain qualification of Operators including Special Processes
???Manage staffing of the quality organization
???Support the training of all SLS Walton personnel in the understanding of customer needs through integration of these needs into a comprehensive and effective quality system
???Lead the evaluation of future quality system needs and develop cost effective plan for achieving required compliance
???Establish long term strategic plans for the quality team in line with SLS and SLS Walton goals
???Completion of APICS certification within 2 years
Complementary description
Experience/Education/Certification Required:
???Minimum of a BS/BA degree in Engineering or a related physical science or technology
???Three (3) to five (5) years experience in a manufacturing quality control organization
???Experience or training in statistical design of experiments and/or statistical analysis of experimental results
Specificity of the job
Periodic local, regional and international travel will be required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
